another day, another ER visit...

[profile] patgreene's respiratory pain has gradually gotten worse over the past few days, so we got appointments for this morning (mine was a follow-up to the Munich hospitalization last month). Her blood oxygen level was low, and her MD ordered her over to the hospital for more tests, suspecting a pulmonary blood clot.

I just left there 20 minutes ago... Pat is waiting for a CT scan, but I need to start ferrying the kids to various appointments in her place. Another day, another ER visit... she recognized the same nurse as two weeks ago. (Which day was one of the worst, ever, for me... ugh).

More stress, more scrambling, house is a mess. At least she and I had a productive couples-counselling session last night.

*hugs* to you both. Well, okay, maybe gentle hand-squeezes to Pat, since respiratory pain and hugs can be a poor mix.

My thoughts are with you both, *hugs*.

Oh dear gods. Keeping a good thought for you both :(

Good thoughts headed her way - I had a CT scan to check for an embolism when I was in the ER a week or so ago.

Ouch. =(

Best wishes to you both for a quick recovery and the end of the stress.

*hugs*

Ah, good luck to you both. I know how hard this can be. I hope she gets better soon. ((hugs))

Safe hugs from a distance. I'll light a candle for both of you.

I know that both of you are reluctant to ask for help, but I'm also guessing that your trip to Japan is going to be hard on Pat, given that she is not feeling well, her energy level is low, and how recently you got back from Spain.

I'm wondering if there are ways that folks could help you out-- bring the boys to W&S so Pat could have an evening to herself, take the younger two out of the house for a while this weekend or next, make a casserole, etc.
(my weekend includes things like Allegra's school festival, Mark's choir concert, and a kid-friendly sukkah-building party, and I could take them for a bit, and perhaps team up with other friends so that one of us drives over, has them for a while, the other one has them for longer and returns them home.)

(bites lip)

Yeah, actually some of those things would be really nice... if we could get the younger two out for awhile, and/or them all to W&S. And just someone to call and talk with Pat a couple of times during next week, as she feels isolated and cut-off from adults when I'm away.

How's Pat doing today?

Lungs are better. There are potentially-worse things in play, however. Better to take it offline for now...

Thinking good thoughts for you both... hugs!
