growing concerned...

Today was James's last day of school for the summer, and his last two (and toughest) final exams. He made no mention of after-school plans. He still isn't home yet, at nearly 7pm. I'm growing concerned...

[Update: he shuffled in around 7:20, six hours after school ended... he went to a garage band practice and then met some friends in a park and lost track of time... told us nothing. Sigh. Now, to come up with appropriate consequences, finish dinner and try to call [personal profile] geekchick...]

Butterfly says he hadn't mentioned anything to her, and she called gofer-boy to get James new cell and he doesn't know anything either. She's hoping you'll post or comment when he does show up so she doesn't worry.

If J is thinking about this with craftiness, he's going to recognize that he's going to be fairly essentially grounded for the next week and a half anyway, between [livejournal.com profile] patgreene's travel making him babysit and the family vacation. Do you think he would have seen this as his last opportunity to goof off, and that he felt "entitled" to it because of the upcoming schedule?
