Weekend wrap...

jayWhile waiting for FedEx to pick up the drills and electronics, as well as TS and dangerpudding to finish, I may as well catch up...
Sunday morning, I took the kids off to church... afterward, we were taken out for brunch at Hobee's bytenacious_snail and cyan_blue. I knew of this, but did not tell James until after he'd ordered his food ;-).

As we left afterwards, with the Mustang's top down.
Later Sunday Les and I went totshuma's and B.'s handfasting, in San Jose... it was sweet. And I thought the garden setting was just right for a burgeoning relationship. Then I picked up patgreene from SFO, just back from N. and my family in Atlanta... It was hard. I was as supportive as I knew how to be, and we went to dinner a one of cyan_blue's favorite crepe restaurants near the airport.
Otherwise, backtracking... Friday night I was stressed and frazzled, so wastenacious_snail, so we had a rough-at-times date but eventually calmed each other. Saturday was spent housecleaning and hanging out with the kids, as well as running into tiger_spot and brooksmoses likewise buying fans.
I have been trying to do more self-care, in part to deal with stress... trimmed my beard, worked out yesterday, cleaned my bedroom. And Saturday got a great hour-long massage fromkineticphoenix in her professional capacity. She's *good*, very talented and deft, and I left completely relaxed and blissed-out and everything in sharp focus. The date following with cyan_blue was much less dramaprone as a result. :) And we drove around the foothills after dark with the top down, listening to crickets and frogs as we drove back roads.
Back to the lab, and to customs documents.... (smile).
