Mixed-mode Humvee
One of the tracked add-ons is broken, so the Humvee carried our drill up to the site in this strange 3-1 configuration.
Final tent touches
We got the tent up this afternoon, using the Humvee parked as a windbreak. Then moved in tables and chairs and equipment and set the casing.
Casing set
To keep water from dribbling down into the hole, we put in a casing, and are letting it set overnight.

Why does the mixed-mode Humvee have the 3-1 configuration?

Whoops! I misread the caption before asking the question. Anyhow, it's a good thing you had a spare tire. Hmmm.. If only you had a spare tread lying around.
