jay| An overcast day Drizzle, rain, fog... our camp, looking northward. |

| Neat mud rings The heat of drilling often melted some of the permafrost, which mixed with fine cuttings and became a platy, moist mess... but left concentric rings of mud around the shaft. |

| More flowers Some more saxifrage... the flowers are edible, rather tangy. |

| End of a long day I'm in my usual zone at the back of the tent, next to the webcam and phone. Jacket stuffed with tools, GPS, gloves... |
