Today... I gave my team most of the morning off, sleeping in. We finally began around lunchtime. I met KMB at the runway... she was excited and pleased. We successfully drilled hands-off for over three hours today, meeting one requirement. And discovered and recovered from our third fault while drilling, which met another. KMB was pleased with our work, and gave an after-dinner talk.

Convenience...

The newly-raised tent on the far right is a toilet tent, put up at the drill site particularly for the convenience of the women in our group...

She was writing her own LJ entry, relaxing this evening after dinner. This is a frequent spot for her, when she sits at all.

thanks for the photos! I hadn't seen the kitchen area before, and I'm glad to hear of the notion of a toilet tent, though I can't imagine why men wouldn't want that comfort as well.

Uh yeah. Speaking as one particular man, I would prefer a tent over a rocky ground with a cold wind blowing across my bare butt.

There's regrettably a kind of macho conformity among guys here... none of them was willing to say that they wanted/needed a facility at the site, but the women expressed their discomfort. (wry grin)
