jayToday... frustrated in drilling, we only went another 15cm. I joined a traverse to the center of the crater, and collected specimens from the central uplift area with some hydrothermal evidence. dangerpudding also went (her first trip away from base camp, yay!), and Sathya made an excellent dinner in her absence.

| Drill was jammed Several times today, the drill jammed or choked. We made little progress, only about 15 cm. |

| Hanagud dinner Sathya has made an Indian dinner once during every DAME field season, the past 3 years. Tonight was excellent... here he is at dinner. And a part of the crater rim (other side of the MS Hab) was named in his honor. |
