Today... improved. The drill started making progress again, the sun came out, and we had a fun traverse around the crater. I led 11 ATVs and riders in a big loop, visiting several sites. And no one got stuck, lost, or broken down.

Steep breccia hill...

I took most of my team up and around the crater... they seemed happy and wowed. Here, they're coming up a steep breccia hill near an overlook spot, hitting a nearly 45-degree angle near the top. (The photo doesn't do justice.) Not for the timid, but they all made it. :)

Same steep hill... here is Alex, cresting while inadvertently popping a wheelie.

Arctic flowers

These flowers were near our traverse trail, today.

I love the wheelie shot! :-)

How big around is the crater?

Wow, flowers! I didn't think anything grew on Mars :-) .

I'm just fascinated by how alien/uneartly the environment is.
