Went dancing tonight... English Country Dance in Palo Alto. tenacious_snail and I shared the ride. I plunged in, sat out no dances, made shameless eye contact, and by the end my shirt was soaked. But I was happily floaty on a sea of endorphins :). I hadn't done ECD in a couple of years, but it came back promptly.

Otherwise... earlier today, a demonstration was rescheduled and caused me to be late to my lunch with cyan_blue, but they also went very well.

Glad you two had a wonderful time out dancing! The "shameless eye contact" aspect has always been my favorite part of those dances, too :-)

I've done a bit of regency dancing. My crowd in NYC was into it, and so I first did regency with my friends there, and liked it. Thus, when I moved to California and went to my first Baycon, I wandered by the regency dancing event there... and that's where I met Emmett. We bonded over being the two least capable ones on the dance floor. I'm still not terribly good at it, but I enjoy it lots, and would likely enjoy it even moreso now that my body is in better shape. I've been to a few of the Friday Night Waltz and Bay Area English Regency Society events, in addition to the Baycon ones.
