Home again...

The surgery appears to have been a success, James now lacks lower wisdom teeth while gaining new front-jaw bone tissue, in preparation for eventual implants. He was in pain when I saw him in the recovery room... hadn't seen that expression in awhile, not since he was much smaller and had fallen off of his bike. [profile] patgreene and I brought him home about 45 minutes ago. He's had pain medications... has gauze in his mouth and is swollen. But seems better.

[personal profile] cyan_blue is currently out with the two younger kids, giving James a chance to settle in and sleep. [personal profile] tenacious_snail spent the night over here so Pat and I could leave at 6am with James. I really appreciate the support from both sweeties, at a stressful time. :)

Poor kid! I'm surprised that was outpatient surgery, with the bone work.

My warmest good wishes to James for a speedy recovery. I had jaw surgery, and it was the hardest thing I've ever been through (and I've had three kids!). He's a brave soul.

I appreciate the support and love I receive from you and your family the rest of the family of which I am becoming a part of. (mmmm, there was brownie with lunch)

Let me know if there's anything I can do for James, or for the rest of y'all, this week. :)

Speaking from experience, implants kick serious ass over other options like bridges. I'm glad that's an option for him.

I hope the pain eases for him soon!

I'm glad he made it through without complications. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

I hope James recovers quickly. I had surgery on my mouth when I was in college, and I can sympathize with him. It was not pleasant, and I'm glad I had a good friend to take care of me afterwards.

*hugs you close* I imagine that it must be one of the hardest things in the world to see your child in such pain...

I really appreciate the support from both sweeties, at a stressful time. :)

You are very welcome, dear. And the younger two were fun company. I'll send you some of the more comical pictures from today's outing once I figure out the best way to get 'em off my Treo...

Why didn't I know about this?????? I'm grateful he's ok. Want to know when my grandson is operated on. Give him a hug for me.
