Let's see... finished my slides for the AIAA conference Tuesday evening, then went over to compilerbitch's birthday gathering at an Indian restaurant in Mountain View. I was the first arrival other than S. and her partner doseybat (visiting from the UK) but it filled-out. Also met catamorphism (I think...) who knew tenacious_snail's former roommate in Berkeley. I was confused over whether to use Brian (work name) or Jay (social) since most of the others there were from my NASA division.

Yesterday... we packed the drill and sent it off to San Antonio in the morning. I went home to change and thence to the AIAA meeting, gave my paper in front of a modest audience of 20, then rushed to SFO for a flight to Houston, where I'm about to head to JSC to argue for FY07 research funds. Back tonight, a day at home, then back through here Saturday en route to San Antonio...

heh, I'm kind of amused that darcydodo was mistaken for me; I read this and was all, "what... but... I can't be in two places at once... too early in the morning." The funny thing was that there was another gathering at the same restaurant involving compilerbitch, two weeks ago, that I was at. I have met you before, though.
