To my son James, with much love... sixteen years ago, I cut the cord and he looked around, staring with wide-open blue eyes, taking in every detail. He is still observant and insightful beyond his years... I have to remind myself sometimes that he's still a kid, at least in some ways. :) Happy sweet-sixteenth!

I can't believe I forgot my first born grandson's sweet 16 birthday. Please ask him to forgive us and tell him something to make up for it is on the way. Give him our love and please tell him how proud of him we are. Please remind me of such important events in the future. I getting old and forgetful. It is important to me.
