For the past few years, one of the few social events that [livejournal.com profile] patgreene and I have hosted has been an annual ice skating party, typically held on a Sunday late afternoon in January after the holiday rush is over. We like the idea because Kevin and I are active skaters and most of the rest of our household skates, and because we don't have to clean the house beforehand ;-). Typically we have covered the admissions for attendees who RSVP.

This year, I'm looking at the last two Sundays in January, and first two in February. Let me know what dates are feasible, if you're local (or expect to be in the area) and interested...

I would enjoy coming.

I might bring the girls from my house, if their parents were unable to attend, but I wouldn't know that 'til closer to the date in question.

Depending on which weekend it was, I might have my mother in tow as well, as she's planning a visit sometime around then ;-) She likes skating too.

Oh, and either time would work fine for me.

More thoughts - While I don't know of any current conflicts for the two February dates, it's worth noting that those two weekends are birthday-intensive in our community, and it's conceivable that people might schedule parties on those days (I know of parties on the 3rd and 10th, for instance). Then again, you're polling far enough out that people might work around your event.

Yeah. I said no to the 11th for that reason. I could attend if that were when it were held, but I'd prefer that it not be that weekend, since there is enough there already.

I'd like to tag along, and bring my little one with me. She really enjoyed ice skating the last time we were there.

Will you be skating at the ice rink in downtown Oakland?

I'd strongly prefer February over January. A bunch of us are planning on going to a science museum in January. You check the poll for that at:

Maybe [livejournal.com profile] brian1789 and [livejournal.com profile] pure_agnostic could coordinate dates together, so that one of them chooses the Jan 20-21 weekend and the other chooses the Jan 27-28 weekend...

Of course, Feb 4 is currently the leading contender in this poll, so that might be moot.

Depending on [livejournal.com profile] fuzzydragon's work schedule, he may or may not come with (which is why I put the 2 and a question mark in parenthesis). Almost all of the dates could work with the exception of of the 28th because thats 2 days before [livejournal.com profile] fuzzydragon's bday.

Clicky box!

I won't know my schedule until next semester. I'll probably come whenever anyway. :>
