AGU Friday morning

Good morning poster session at AGU... I'm on the second floor, but had about 20-25 visitors total. Including two people who talked about joint proposals, and two others about publications, and the editor of a journal who asked me why I hadn't submitted my poster topic as a paper yet, and invited me to do so... not a bad morning. Plus, I enjoy these large poster sessions, as I can survey quickly many different disciplines and areas other than my own, as well as lounge around more-familiar topics and harangue colleagues. ;-)

Still, it's a big meeting (13,000) and hard to find everyone I'd like to see.

My afternoon short oral paper presentation has a less-great slot, I'm up at 5:35pm at the end of my given session. So I have time to wander, here... just back from a quick lunch of soup with grynz. Who looks much perkier than when I saw her last night in San Leandro, after dinner with dawnd...

Sorry I missed your poster - I was sneakily trapped by a pile of ungraded papers...

I'm with you on the fun of large poster sessions, for about an hour and a half. Then my brain explodes from intellectual overstimulation.

(nods) my perfect session is about an hour of wandering after an hour or so spent next to my own work. :)

I looked for you in random clumps of people, but... it's a big meeting.
