Nothing profound....

Just calmness and laundry, while we get ready to take Amtrak down to Los Angeles tomorrow. Haircuts all around... I'd been shaggy ever since returning from Haughton Crater.

Amtrak's "reserved coach" is no longer reserved, even on long distance trains. So there is no guarantee that we'll find 5 seats together... a disadvantage to the train when compared to driving or air travel.

Yesterday was comprised of much catching-up and planning the week ahead with my colleagues... and Lori's farewell lunch at Chef Chu's. She's been a huge help, and imposed order and discipline on me and my office that both needed... the project ran more smoothly as a result. I'll be sorry to see her go... besides, there'll no longer be anyone left at work with whom I can flirt outrageously without fear of lawsuits (grin).

Next week... beach Monday, at work at Northrop in horribly-dull financial management meetings Tuesday and Wednesday, Disneyland on Thursday, train home on Friday. Then school begins the following week...

I'd like to... but I'll have patgreene and three small, loud children with me, and we're going to be in Santa Monica on Monday. If you can find a way northward, and don't mind the noise and clutter, it would be great to meet you in person :-). We'll be at the Doubletree Suites at (310) 395-3332...
