Currently in Resolute... we're headed to Polar Shelf and thence to Devon Island in about 15 minutes. I'm behind in uploading, but here are a couple of photos from friendly Edmonton. One of the places that feels sort-of-homelike when I'm passing through. (smile)

Approaching Edmonton Yellow fields of canola... for me, these have been a starting marker, almost symbolic of the start of a field season, over the past 10 years.

Taste of Edmonton Group dinner outing with my friends in Edmonton... I feel like I have support and a welcome whenever I drop in to town. minnaleigh, handslive, purplejavatroll,and mouseman brought compilerbitch and I to Taste of Edmonton, a downtown food and music festival. Good food and fun.

Captain Tractor at O'Byrne's Bouncing around and dancing... no flash... here's one of my favorite groups, who very coincidentally did a no-cover show at a club on the same block as my hotel. Thanks to therealjae who suggested it, and who saved places for minnaleigh and I.

I like the photos - glad you have such a warm welcome in Edmonton! Captain Tractor looks lively, and this year's canola fields picture is vibrant and lovely with the low blue clouds.

What do you folks do in Polar Shelf?

In Polar Shelf... that's our staging and storage area. So we check that things are there and ready, and sometimes check out more equipment.
