Unexpected place for a flashback

One of the reasons I'm cautious and defensive in sensual settings is that my first experience, at age 20, was a traumatic, nonconsensual one. :-(

Standing in the voting booth this morning, I glanced at the list of candidates for State Assembly in my district. The person that instigated (perpetrated?) that encounter was the listed Libertarian candidate.

I froze... then voted for the Democrat.

Oh, dear. I'm sorry. I didn't even glance at the Libertarian candidate since I knew I was voting Democratic in that race. I wish I had, so I could have given you extra hugs today.
