Wandering all over the place

jayI really, really need to focus on a report on Mars drilling automation that is due to JPL in 2 weeks. And they still haven't given me the mission specs, which keep evolving... or whether it will be on the lander or rover. Colleagues are pressing me for the details, which I don't have.
And the IAF started today in Toulouse, and I'm not there (pout). Silly of me... there's too much to do here anyway. At least I got to see a friend's birthday party and introduce Pat around... I'm psyched that she's coming out of seclusion, even if she's still too shy to say much. :-)
And my ongoing distraction is trying to explain to a dear friend just why we can't continue our relationship, in terms she can grasp. Thankfully she's out of town for now, or I'd get no work done at all...
