Time-zone change...

I'm now in the Eastern time zone, visiting family and old friends in Atlanta for the next few days. Then on to Pat's family in Tampa for a few days, then back here and back to the Bay Area after the new year begins.
Up early, shepherding the kids around, breakfast at Hobee's, then off to the airport with hopeforyou (apparently she was running on no sleep - ack! - but I was clueless. But grateful) who drove our car back home from SFO. Security was horrible, lines 300m long. Herd mentality strikes again... normally (say, last week going to Alabama) it would have been 5 minutes' wait at 10am. The kids were a bit hyper, too. Upgrades helped... for the first 4-hour flight to Houston, I nobly gave Pat my first-class seat and I dealt with the kids in the back.
My parents are doing well... Dad looks good, he's lost weight and has good color. Mom's shoulder is much better. Who knows how their nerves will be after 5 days of shrieking kids (chuckle).
