Date: 2003-01-30 09:19 pm (UTC)And we're not intending to be down that way until _next_ weekend...or I'd be happy to take some off your hands/tree. :/
Any chance you'll be up in the East Bay area any time soon?

And happy birthday, Mom!

Date: 2003-01-31 04:27 pm (UTC)They'd probably be good for preserves, too. Think "Golden Shred" and the marmalade in which Paddington is continually covered. I've got a HUGE collection of books on canning, if anyone over there wants to give it a shot. And I'd be happy to advise in general, if you don't already have canning experience, and even loan you my equipment for a bit--don't think I'm gonna be needing it for a while. But you gotta come get it, 'cuz I won't be near you for a while yet, I'm guessing. Or you could delegate someone to pick it up. Theoretically, Josh and Jen will be up to the same party we will on Saturday (assuming this cold doesn't get worse and keep me from attending), so we could give it to them, and they could give it to you. All I'd ask would be a jar or two of the product, as a "rental fee"!
I assure you, having a stack of jars of jam around is a REALLY REALLY good thing, come the Holiday season.
