We're awash in fruit. Our 30-year-old tangerine tree has probably two bushels of fruit or more holding down its branches... anyone local want some? James picked three more grocery-bags' worth today...

Yes, tangarine marmalade would probably also be good. I'm interested at the terminology, because we wouldn't call this `canning' in Rightpondia - and `canning' is something exotic and potentially dangerous, whereas making marmalade is common-place, straight-forward and safe.
But this situation is exactly the reason why preserves were invented, anyhow :-) And home made usually tastes best - once you've got the knack :-)
