Another field report
Feb. 11th, 2003 10:39 pm- Soil development is generally poor, although locally, fines have segregated by periglacial processes.
- Patterned ground, in particular rock stripes, is present. Small scale boils (1-10 cm across at surface) with orange-yellowish soil are present.
- Evidence for gelifraction (freeze-thaw fracturing resulting in a typical angular fracturing of rocks) is ubiquitous throughout the site.
How many observations? Conclusions? Hypotheses?
