While sitting here tonight eating a sandwich at my desk, I've put together one of those anonymous "blunt truth" surveys, just for the heck of it... hey, it's quiet and lonely here in the lab, after dark...

Take my blunt truth survey... sure, go ahead... *chuckle*

"Am I good driver?"

Falls over laughing.

So when can we see the results?

Can I just say what a wonderful userpic that is?

So do we get photos so we can judge how good of a driver you are?

Best would be to take a ride with me somewhere in my 5.0 litre Mustang convertible, otherwise you'll have to judge by the expert testimony of [personal profile] geekchick or [profile] patgreene... but I've only been charged with one accident in 25 years of driving, and that was minor. And I average only one speeding ticket per five years... although I like to drive fast. Going 225 kph on the German autobahns was fun ;-).

Blunt truth... annoying Web site, made me mess about to get rid of the pop-up ads, and then crashed my browser when I tried to get back to LJ.

But I did complete your survey :-)

Thanks, dear... sorry about the mess. I used Netscape 7 and it was OK.

I would to recommend to you Mozilla, a browser where you can turn off those pop-up ads. It was created from the open-source of Netscape. http://www.mozilla.org/

And 1.3 finally has adaptive junk-mail filtering!

I'm currently using Opera 5 (under Linux Redhat 6), but I've been planning to get around to trying out Mozilla for some time...

Still, annoying Web site which doesn't degrade gracefully.

It seemed to work fine under Opera 6.5, on Windows. Of course, I default to having Javascript off, which I'm sure helps.

(It was quite refreshing to get a survey that didn't require Javascript, actually.)

I have the version of Opera which doesn't include the code for Java, IIRC.

I wish to note...

...that at least one set of answers to some of the questions on your survey are heavily skewed by the fact that the respondent is male and excessively heterosexual. And, thus, the answers to some questions are not true indicators of your appeal.

Heck of a lot on the survey that I've no evidence to comment on, though.

And, for the record, when I say you're a geek, I mean it in the best possible way. *grin*

I wondered why certain areas had suddenly nosedived (grin)... there's always the option of "Don't Answer".

I mean it in the best possible way. *grin*

No mouthfuls of feathers, eh? *grin*

Actually, I don't know the answers to most of these. Will you tell me the answers? Please post nude photos and purity score. And favorite books and programming language.

(chuckle) I might, except that no nude photos of me exist! My purity score on the "traditional" 100-question test was 43, the last time that I took it. I've generally stopped reading for pleasure (lack of time)... most recent were books on modernist architecture, 1950s furniture designs, behavioral psychology and a couple of SF novels. And my first, and still favorite, programming language is Lisp.
