One side effect of having only one 4-seater car in a household of 5 is that I've needed to bike to places -- work on Friday, church today. It's only about 5-8km, nearly flat, so an easy ride. Except I haven't done this in years... my calves are a bit sore.

After riding my son James's bicycle, today I was finally motivated to get my old 1975 10-speed back in operating condition... I replaced the seat and all of the cables this afternoon.

Yes! Oh, the stories I can tell of seductions* involving tight Lycra shorts... :-))))

Ooh, do tell me some of the stories sometime... I'll even model in Lycra if that would put you in the right frame of mind ;-).

Ooo...

Just the thought of you cycling is exciting, with or without the lycra... ah, no, hang on, I didn't quite mean... ah, never mind :-)

Meanwhile, I have been reminded by a blushing someone that the stories aren't really mine to tell :-) But let's just say that, although it was a 'slow burn' technique, it was a corker!!!

We have one 4-seater car and one 5-seater (okay, it's technically a 6-seater, but I don't want to drive it when it's that packed). We have a 5-person household, too. I feel for you - hope the other vehicle is back soon!

Thanks... you can imagine how you'd cope if the 5/6 seater disappeared for a week or two. My minivan is supposed to be ready tomorrow...
