If I were you, I'd stop picking up the phone and turn off the ringer before going to sleep. Calling you at home at 7 AM is just not acceptable behavior.
Well, in some contexts... if it were *you* calling at 7am, that would be a good thing ;-). If it's JL, it's just annoying. Telemarketers don't even start before 8.
(grin) I have it. I knew who was calling at 6:59am, and I picked up anyway... figuring that it must be important, or why else would he be calling me at home? As it is, he was just telling me about a meeting in northern Virginia on 11/13. It could have waited.
hmm. I think you need to express to this guy that he needs to use your home number more judiciously, sparingly, or else he might find you not being at home quite as much.
I would never, never, NEVER call anyone at home before 7 AM (or really before 9 AM) if it's not an emergency. So you can feel free to turn the ringer off knowing that there's no possibility it would be me. ;)
I agree, don't pick up the phone before at least 8am. Allow the answering machine (or voice mail) to pick it up, and then call BACK if it's someone you want to talk to.
Oh, geez. Is THAT ALL? For cripes sake, GET ONE! They're like, what, $20 these days for a cheap one at the Good Guys? Consider it a present to Pat, if nothing else.
Ugh. Just... ugh. If only he could use that power for good. Like getting you an admin assistant and a project manager to keep track of all of this shit.
I had a wrong number the other night, who apologized for calling so late, and was quite surprised to find he'd called California. Misdialed the area code, apparently.
