flowers of fall

jayPerhaps it is cooler weather, or the return of rainfall here, or shorter days... but my purple irises are blooming in the front yard. About a third of the plants have blossoms or emerging bud-stalks.
At the same time, the neighbors across the street put up their Christmas lights before Halloween...
Off to see a couple of lovely ladies over lunch, after another chiropractor appointment -- I'm taking the day off, given the holiday tomorrow.
