Resolute isn't the end of the world, but you can see it from here --T-shirt at terminal gift shop.
The weather is slowly improving... it is similar to the retreat of the morning marine-layer fog in the Bay Area. In a couple of hours I should be enroute to Devon Island, along with HC, two Honeybee guys and our drill.

J'ai retournee...
Jul. 23rd, 2004 10:47 pmHere and safe, tent is up, unpacked, seam sealer applied, 2C and overcast, with a breeze. The main site is a construction mess. Lack of sun this year means a late thaw... much more snow still here than I'd expected. Which means... the ground isn't dry, and I have to get a 600 lb drill across 2 miles of it.
I did see my sister Vicky, the paramedic... she was headed into Resolute on the plane that took me out. Strange to see her in *this* context!
