One of those days... yesterday I kept zigging when I should have zagged. Late getting Kevin to his skating lesson. Kids were unruly when trying to get a family portrait done (for our church's picture directory). And [profile] patgreene was sweet in sending me off on a date with [personal profile] tenacious_snail, but I just kept messing up (making Les crankier and crankier as the evening progressed). My choice of parking-search patterns... going with the louder, lower-end tapas place on Mission (I thought it felt more authentic)... then Writers With Drinks was a flop of sorts. I liked it, but Les actually bailed after awhile and waited outside the venue. By the time we went by Valencia Street Books and saw [profile] zahl and got coffee nearby, Les and I were each a bundle of nerves.

Indigestion... I was queasy by the time I drove home from Berkeley. But feel better this morning. Hopefully today will roll better... our annual skating party is late this afternoon. And thanks to [profile] zahl for the space toy for the kids ;).

The doors open at 5:30pm... we can't get in to set up before then, ourselves, so may be slightly rushed at the beginning. FYI, the nearest Caltrain station is California Ave. in Palo Alto, about 5 minutes away. If anyone needs a pickup, call my cell.

For those attending... they have changed the procedure from last year (when there was a checklist at the entrance). Now, simply identify yourselves with the "Glass party" and they should wave you through. We will have tickets to distribute to those folks who are actually skating (non-skaters can hang out for free) which can be exchanged for rental skates.
