I want to ride away from all my problems. Road trip. I need an airplane. Or a motorcycle. Somewhere out there, going really fast...
Immature, I know. Must be present, responsible, and just deal, like a grownup.
I wish I had some firecrackers, at least...

But sometimes there's a point to being here now.

1+ box (or book) of matches
1 box aluminum foil
1 paper clip
bend paper clip into 45 degree angle as 'launch' platform
tear off piece of foil. experiment with how much to limit weight
take one match
tightly wrap combustible end of match with foil.
place wrapped match into launch platform
light match and hold to foil-wrapped combustible end until it ignites
it will launch. Can go about 10 feet
The real trick is in wrapping the foil; you need enough to cover it and direct exhaust 'down', but not so much foil that it weighs down top. also, effecient, tight wrapping is a learned skill.
I did this many times for fun (inside) at my grandparents house (they smoked) using book matches. Wooden matches may be a bit heavier and so may not travel as far.
Advanced:
Wrap TWO (or more) matchsticks together into one rocket. Arrange stacked for multi-stage, or together for more short power. Again, wrapping technique is critcal to success
Expert:
Use knife and scrape off the 'good stuff' from multiple matchsticks. Crush/crumple and combine into super launcher.

if you need me.

I think you really do need a road trip. You need a change of scenery not attached to work or home life. Just time alone with Brian, figuring out who Brian is.

Seconded. Wanting a break sometimes is not a sign of being immature or irresponsible.
