Sigh... yet more unwelcome fungal residents in our yard. This time, several phallic-looking morels, each with a thick shaft a couple of inches in diameter, in the leaf mulch in the side yard. The kids think they're weird... as long as they don't touch the things. Gah.

If you have leaf mulch, you have fungi. Morels are meant to be rather nice, but given allergies, maybe you should invite some local fungi fanciers to enjoy them?

I thought about suggestiong that myself, but he already thinks I am enough of a freak for wanting to eat plants, that eating fungi in front of him is something I try to avoid.

It's bizarre to think that anyone would want to eat something growing from heaps of decaying leaves in my yard... but if anyone wants them, they're welcome.
