patgreene has been coughing up more blood, her doctor thinks it is some kind of thrombosis, and she's been ordered to the emergency room at Stanford. I need overnight childcare if she gets admitted. And no one has told the kids yet about their grandmother.

I am trying to come home early -- the memorial service is Saturday afternoon -- but if Pat's hospitalized... (shakes head).

Oh, yeah, the drill is still broken, too...

it looks like he may well be flying through NY on his way to and from the funeral. You might want to touch base with him-- I don't know if you'd be able to store some luggage for him for a few days, for instance, but that might be a help.
