Conference sights and successful talks

dangerpudding and I both had our IAC presentations. She wasn't used to this kind of environment, had an inattentive chair *and* audio problems, and still did well. Mine was redone on the fly, but I'd prepared for a 25-minute instead of a 20-min talk, and had to hurry up towards the end. Both audiences were 20-25 people.

We rented a 4-BR/2BA apartment in Valencia for E140/day, which despite rent and laundry troubles was still in a convenient location and spacious. And had this nice sunrise view out of our 8th floor window... |

Here's the Thursday morning plenary talk -- about Rio Tinto as a Mars analog site. It was good timing as a reference later in the day for both my talk and Sarah's. Ricardo Parra (from our MARTE project) is in the panel. |
