V-Day blues

And it isn't just because my paper is late... I generally dread today, and am usually left feeling inadequate, bereft, or both. Gestures are confused, dinners are disastrous, and I always forget something or someone. All for a commercially-manipulated holiday... sigh.

That's okay, love... you show your affections in many other ways. Like letting me sleep in this morning after I was up until 3am working on the paper.
